Our Bistrot Ca.Stella at the Monte San Giorgio Camping (Ca.Stella & Camping del Monte San Giorgio not for-profit organization) has been renovated in respect of the environment that surrounds us by promoting sustainability in its management. Wood and stones that are typical of the mountains prevail on the interior design of our Bistrot.
Our deep connection to the territory leads us every day to make a concrete contribution to the protection of the planet. Indeed, even in our small way, we can do something for the environment. We want to promote a new way of understanding cuisine and hospitality, by offering our customers the possibility to taste a careful green cuisine and experience a nature-friendly hospitality.
Our raw material suppliers are mainly from the local area. In addition to virtuous practices to limit environmental impact, we also promote another form of sustainability: that towards our territory and the people who carry on the local tradition. The vegetables we use in our kitchen, whenever possible, are grown in our own garden and come from Ca.Stella FARM, where we use natural fertilizers produced by our animals that live peacefully on the farm.
We are part of the sustainability program Swisstainable and classified at level I – committed. The sustainability program Swisstainable unites businesses and organizations along the entire Swiss tourism sector. With our participation, we commit ourselves to continuous sustainable business development, pursue measures in the field of sustainability and thus make a concrete contribution to a sustainable Swiss tourism.
